According to recent FAA exemption approvals, a Flight Operations Manual that meets specific criteria is required for all flight operations that are conducted within 500 feet of any person, structure, vehicle, or vessel.
This Flight Operations Manual meets the requirements outlined by the FAA for close proximity flights (less that 500 ft to people, vehicles, etc) and for closed-set filming operations.
This option is only for the Flight Operations Manual and does not include 333 Exemption request filing services.
Which option should I choose?
If you plan on operating your UAV within 500 feet of a person, structure, vehicle, or vessel, the FAA requires you to follow extra rules, one of which is having a specific Flight Operations Manual that contains and addresses specific items. [More detail at the bottom of our FAA Standard Approval Language page.]
- If you are needing a 333 exemption request and will not be flying within 500 feet of people, structures, vehicles, or vessels, then chose the option with no Flight Ops Manual.
- If you don't already have a 333 exemption and think you will be flying closer than 500 feet to people or their property once you are up and running, you should select the 333 Exemption w/ Flight Ops Manual (we will email the manual to you once it is customized with your information).
- If you ALREADY HAVE a 333 exemption and just need the Flight Ops Manual, select the sUAS Flight Operations Manual Only.
Note: this Flight Operations Manual also meets the requirements outlined by the FAA for closed-set filming operations.
